El verbo dobla su espalda

cada vez que le piden acción

y él se limita a obedecer,

mantenerse en movimiento

como si su voz traicionara el espanto,

pero sigue presente,

activo, vibrante y su infinitivo es amar.

Los tiempos verbales pareciera

han tenido todo el tiempo del mundo

para complicar,

hacer más complejas sus acciones

en los más diversos tiempos.

Pregunto:

¿es buey de carga, yunta esclava o verbo libre?

¿Toda acción genera una reacción?.

El verbo solo debiera sentirse libre de actuar,

empujar el verso de salón que aburre de solo escucharlo.

The verb bends its back

each time it's asked for action,
and it simply obeys,
keeps moving
as if its voice betrayed the dread,
yet it remains present, active,
vibrant, and its infinitive is to love.
Verb tenses seem
to have had all the time
in the world to complicate,
to make their actions more complex,
in the most diverse tenses.
I ask:
is it a beast of burden, a slave yoke,
or a free verb?
Does every action generate a reaction?
The verb should only feel
free to act, to push the salon verse
that bores just by being heard.
