La suerte del poema,
luego de escapar ileso
del último bombardeo,
eludir la brillante luz
de los misiles en el cielo,
superar el silencio implacable
de la página en blanco,
seguir respirando cada sílaba
y aún así,
Ser palabra viva,
frente a ti, amigo lector.

The Fate of the Poem
after escaping unscathed
from the last bombardment,
evading the brilliant light
of missiles in the sky,
overcoming the relentless silence
of the blank page,
still breathing through every syllable,
and yet remaining a living word,
before you, dear Reader.
