Poetry speaks where silence finds no words.
I came to this conclusion several years ago.
The strength of poetry lies in its silences.

In these times, where the invisible hand of the market charts courses and confines millions to poverty, poetry is a powerful weapon.
Even though major media outlets and virtual reality often dismiss it as the worst student in the class, the poem breathes life into and fortifies rebellion.

Silence, by its very nature, is a response to mediocrity, stupidity, and alienation.
It opposes the establishment of anything that fails to grow strong because it lacks humanism, humanity, common sense, solidarity, and that old phrase that seems to have lost its meaning: love thy neighbor.

The poem, within its strengths and at times its fragility, with just a few words, discovers, rediscovers, questions, and ultimately interprets reality.
Its weapon is words, though silence sometimes captivates the poet.
And therein lies its greatest expression, its true message — to leave the reader with the final word.
