A la batuta de las olas el mar

responde con su orquesta

sobre todas las aguas

que le representan

y enseñan cada día a ser mar.

Nadie nace  aprendiendo

desde el primer día de su nacimiento.

El mar también ha sido niño

y se siguen construyendo castillos

de arena en sus playas.

El rumor del mar no cesa

y en las noches comparte

su inconfundible compás

con el mar de la oscuridad.

To the baton of the waves, the sea

responds with its orchestra

across all the waters

that represent it

and teach it each day

how to be the sea.

No one is born

knowing from the first breath.

The sea, too, was once a child,

and still, sandcastles rise

on its shores.

The murmur of the sea never ends,

and in the night, it shares

its unmistakable rhythm

with the sea of darkness.
