Me hubiese gustado
escribir como Rimbaud,
no envejecer,
haberte conocido
mucho antes,
que todos fuéramos
libres en verdad,
que el tiempo
no nos apurara,
que la solidaridad
fuera un rquisito
para vivir en esta época
y cualquier lugar
en la tierra
como seres humanos,
con valentía,
sin hipocrecía,
con dignidad.

I would have liked
to write like Rimbaud,
never to grow old,
to have known you
much earlier,
for all of us
to be truly free,
for time
not to rush us,
for solidarity
to be a requirement
to live in this age
and anywhere
on earth
as human beings,
with courage,
without hypocrisy,
with dignity.
