ver pasar el cadáver del enemigo,
bajo una intensa lluvia que lava
de impurezas el alma extraviada
de la ciudad, su rostro enemigo
de sí misma que mira pasar

Waiting in front of my house
to watch the enemy’s corpse pass by,
under a heavy rain that washes
impurities from the lost soul
of the city, its face an enemy
to itself, watching itself pass
in front of my house.
